Another Satisfied Customer

My wife just received this e-mail and forwarded it to me:

Almost through with Jared's book...and wow!

And, no, the next words weren't "Does it stink!"

The trick now is getting editors to concur.

More readers astounded and terrified by this incredible work of unsurpassable genius sound off here.

On the subject of Auster, this may interest you

Andie, your comment has nothing to do with the post, but -- Wow, thanks for linking. It's borderline spam, too, since it's just a link to your own work, but -- Thanks so much. It really gives a good and sobering perspective on Auster's work. I had heard of the so-called "disco-land bloodbath" before, but had never heard of the Auster connection.

Also, just seeing the other details connecting the fiction of Auster and his wife with their real lives and vice versa was very enlightening.

This bit of background may actually explain some of the more frustrating bits in Auster's more recent work.

Anyways -- thanks again.

I don't consider it 'spam', since you aimed to create a 'conversation' around Auster's work, but since I couldn't see an e-mail address, it was the only way of reaching you (and thought if I posted it in the comments of your last 'Auster post' which had already slipped down, you might not see it).

All the best

I wouldn't consider it spam either, Andie. Sorry for the confusion, and sorry for the offense.
