Five respondents made the cut in my takeoff on the interview meme (in which Manders interviewed me). So now I'm interviewing them.
The Rules:
Respondents answer all five questions at their blog or in the comments below. With the exception of the non-blogger, each interviewee then must extend the invitation to interview five others. That's how the meme spreads, don't you know.
So off we go, then:
Jen:
1. What is your favorite thing about your job?
2. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
3. What is your fondest childhood memory?
4. What is your favorite Bible verse?
5. If they made a movie of your life, who should play you?
Bill:
1. Stuck on a desert island with the capability to play CDs, what one album would you want with you for the rest of your life?
2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
3. What was your most embarrassing moment? (Or what's one of them, if the most is too embarrassing to share.)
4. If you could play guitar like Phil Keaggy or write like C.S. Lewis, which would you prefer and why?
5. If they made a movie of your life, who should play you?
Christopher:
1. What is the hardest part of being a schoolteacher?
2. Have you ever been in love? What happened?
3. What is the most exciting thing you've ever done?
4. Describe a time when you have been very afraid.
5. If they made a movie of your life, who should play you?
Brian in Fresno:
1. Where did you grow up? Did you like or not like it?
2. Describe how you proposed to your wife.
3. Do you have any hobbies, and if so, what?
4. Do you have any unusual talents or personality "tics"?
5. If they made a movie of your life, who should play you?
salguod:
1. Today you are being executed (for a crime you didn't commit, naturally). What did you request for your last meal?
2. You've got a weekend free and money is no object. You can't leave town, but you can do anything you want in the city where you live. What do you do?
3. Who was the most influential person on your life when you were a kid? How did they influence you?
4. Your house is on fire but thankfully is everyone is safe. However, you only have seconds to get out of the house. What one item do you take the time to save on your way out?
5. If they made a movie of your life, who should play you?
Have fun, folks!

Will do mine in the wee hours of the night tonight, hopefully
Btw, I hate embarassing moments questions. Because for the most part my life has been one long embarassing moment (made up for by the fact that God has been most unembarassed to bless me with a beautiful wife and four awesome kids). But I forgive you :-)
First off, RATS!, I wanted to make the questions bold but my idea didn't work. If you would be so kind Jared, if it is possible, would you make the questions or the answers bold please? [Ed. says: For you? Can do.]
1. Where did you grow up? Did you like or not like it?
I grew up in two places and I really feel like I have two home towns. I was born in Reno, Nevada and my parents moved to Sacramento, CA when I was six years old. I have many fond memories of Sacramento and even though I hated high school I love Sacramento. I've wanted to return but I don't know if I'll get the chance. I love the Reno area, it is a much higher elevation and is very close to the Sierra Mountain range. I really like the lack of population. I don't know if I could hang living around Reno or not.
2. Describe how you proposed to your wife.
My wife and I sort of backed into marriage. We had a wedding dress and a date before I asked her to marry me. I asked her to marry me at a friends house where my co-workers got together for a BBQ and to play Uno. I asked her in the kitchen on bended knee. We didn't get the engagement/wedding ring until a couple of days before the wedding and that was nearly a disaster. Thinking back on it now the entire wedding was nearly a disaster. Too much to go into there.
3. Do you have any hobbies, and if so, what?
I have a couple of hobbies. Our family are members of the Associated Clan MacLeod Society and we staff a Clan MacLeod tent at about 7 Scottish Games/Festivals a year in the central part of Calif. I do all the logistics for the tent space and motel reservations while my wife does most of the talking at the games. We help people find the Clan they belong to and if they don't belong to a Clan we find a district where their family came from and find a district tartan that they could wear if they desired. We also answer questions about Scotland in general and Clan MacLeod in particular. This dovetails quite nicely with genealogy and Christian history.
I'm crazy for cars but I don't have enough money to own cool cars and if I did I couldn't rationalize spending said money on cars. I have done a little building of model cars. Yes there are the ones you found at the toy store when you were kids. I'm also being berated by my kids for taking all the PlayStation time because I play Gran Tourismo 3 way too much. I have loved, loved, road racing and endurance racing since I was about 12 or 13. None of this circle tracks for me.
Theology is a hobby with a serious side for the life I hope Christ lives in and through me.
I dabble and mess about a little, very little, with computer security.
4. Do you have any unusual talents or personality "tics"?
I can act like a four year old pretty well. And I find that no matter how long I work somewhere and how well I know my co-workers I somehow manage to not feel a part of the crew and not really comfortable to be myself. I alwasy manage to feel like I don't quite fit in.
5. If they made a movie of your life, who should play you?
Uuuuhhhhhmmmmm. Aaaaahhhhhhh. There may very well be a huge difference in who should play me and who I would want to play me. Ok, a moment of honesty here, I just got off the phone with my wife to find out what she thought. I'm not all that familiar with actors especially the younger up and comers. She said either Anthony Perkins or Denzel Washington. She said that she thinks they could get my quietness and intensity. Even though I'm white I very much agree with my wife that a life story is raceless. She just called me back and added to her suggestions James Spader or Keanu Reeves. Of the ones she thought of I would say James Spader or maybe Denzel Washington. I'm not familiar with all the work that Anthony Perkens has done. As for who I would want to play me, nobody but Tom Hanks. It would really be fun to see what Jim Carrey could do with my life though.
Anthony Perkins was Norman Bates.
Does your quietness and intensity require a restraining order? ;-)
Good answers!
Yeah I knew he was Norman Bates but I'm not familar with anything else he's done. As to restraining orders let me just say that I'm usually most well behaved. And if you believe that....
In the answer about hobbies the sentence "Yes there are the ones you found at the toy store when you were kids." should read "Yes they're the ones you found at the toy store when you were kids."
Agian in hobbies the sentece "None of this circle tracks for me." should read "None of these circle tracks for me."
Ok, now I can feel better about my posting.
Jared, thanks for the compliment on the asweres, I guess.
Mine are done. It seemed like I got the hardest questions. Probably not, but that's how it seemed.
I tried to trackback your site but it didn't take for some reason. I seem to remember the last trackback I tried here did the same thing.
Mine are up, here
Sorry about the trackback problem, everyone. I haven't looked at that yet and need to.

Posted. Thanks, Jared.
