They Love You

One thing about my children is they love people. I wasn't like that when I was their age, and in many ways, I'm not like that today. When I was a kid I would literally run and hide when people came to our door. My kids, on the other hand, run to see who's arrived at our home and openly embrace anyone who crosses our threshold. In fact, someone showing up at our home actually makes their day. It's like a ray of sunshine to them. They love everyone.

So, if you're reading this, and you know my kids, just know that they love you and that seeing you actually makes their life a little bit more joyful -- a little bit better.

Eric, thanks for sharing. I have noticed this about your kids. They make me feel like a million bucks when I am in your house.
My son, Harris, is very much the same with visitors. He loves it when the phone rings or when someone is stopping by the visit.
I have always been more like you, prone to run and hide from people. It's good to see that God is allowing our kids to be more drawn to people.
He has been doing a major work in me, too :)
Until a few years ago, I would have never imagined that I would be going to church again(especially one like ACC), or looking forward
to something like LG (sometimes it's still a struggle). As a kid I hated Sunday School. I've always shyed way from anything with groups really.
It's been healing for me to be working in the Journey/Quest - it's like God allowed me to come back to where I dropped out, and see it all in a new way.
Sorry to go on so long about myself.
thanks for sharing your heart bro,
Aaron

Aaron,

In many ways right now you're filling a "father role" for my kids -- especially Nathan -- and Brandi and I are indescribably thankful to you for that. Thank you a million times over, brother.
