My good friend and fellow Thinkling, Bill Roberts, developed Bloo a few years ago, and I figured it was time for me to lose Blogger in favor of Bloo. I already use Bloo frequently at Thinklings, and at a couple of other blogs I partake in. Now my solo efforts will be completely powered by Bloo!

Unfortunately, yes. That's the one drawback when compared to Blogger's comments options.
I do think, though, that despite that missing feature Bloo is very comment friendly. I'd say it's probably one of the most comment friendly blogging platforms out there.
I like a WorPress better myself for comments, but anything is better than Blogger. Except for the old blog software I designed for my family update site before I switched to WP. That was just bad.
I've updated my reader Bird.. is Bloo one of those blogging platforms that doesn't email comments?
