We bought a Suburban. It's an older model that we got a good price on. The body and interior are in good shape, and the engine and transmission seem strong. The thing has got a carbon footprint like an automotive Bigfoot -- I like it, despite the higher gas bills! :-)
I'll say this, we're well balanced now. We've got an economical Camry that'll please most of our tree-hugging friends out there, and now we've got a tank-like Suburban that uses more energy in a month than many third world countries use in a year.
Although I haven't been inside of a studio apartment, I can only imagine that our Suburban has got more room than one. With eight functioning seats, we've got room to have two more kids if we feel the need to expand or progeny.
