Quaid, my hat's off to you, brother. You took me out in 71 moves. My jaw still feels numb.
Good thing that was only an exhibition game. I'll see you in the Tournament Championship, sucka'!

Um, seeing Quaid in the Tournament Championship means you're already writing me off as having a chance against him. . .
as if I had time for this, but....
I've a question that's probably got a 'ya big dummy' attached to the answer.
Not so sure I want to play, but I think sometimes I'd like to look at games in progress. Can that be done?
Good onya Quaid. I'm still waiting in line for my rematch. :)

Not to mention Blo (and, for that matter, me).
"Not so sure I want to play, but I think sometimes I'd like to look at games in progress. Can that be done?"
The answer is yes . . . eventually. I want to build a Bloo SnapOn that will be able to display games and let you move back and forth in them, see the comments, smack, etc. . .
But it hasn't been written yet.
OK - everyone hold on.
While Bird might be writing you off, you should know that, sometimes, people get lucky in life, and the same holds true in chess.
If I played Bird 10 times, I might beat him once. It just so happens that it was the first time.
I HOPE to get past Bill. If that happens (and this is a big IF), I don't know if I can make it through Blo, who seems quite the chess genius.
Who knows? Maybe AM gets past Blo in another giant stroke of luck (or skill - AM hasn't garnered the rep yet to be the favorite). Maybe AM takes me out.
All in all - it was a fun game, and may be the longest game we see in TC for a while.
You know who we need in the mix? CODEPOKE. He is supposed to be quite good.
Codepoke? Where art thou, Codepoke?
Looking forward to that 'eventually', De. (Since the games already occur but I cannot yet see them, does this have some sort of eschatological foreshadowing?)
Eh, Blo's already taken control of the game, so my odds aren't good. I suppose he could make a major mistake, but I wouldn't bet on it.
De, couldn't you just add Roy to the list of players? He wouldn't have to accept a match, and he could look at both archives and open games.
Speaking of not accepting matches, is there a way to gracefully decline a challenge, short of just never joining the game?
Oh there will be a rematch ... for sure. Even if it's not in the Tourney Championship. ;-)
As I said on the chess forum, that's the emptiest board I've ever seen.
