And Now For Something Completely Different

I just find this . . . "charming" I guess is the word I'm looking for.

This is Tilly and the Wall, a band that my eldest told me about a while ago and I've finally looked up one of their videos.

What can you say about a band from Nebraska (excellent!) that doesn't have a drummer because a tap-dancer seemed more appropriate?

Man, that drummer would be worn out after a two hour concert.

I like it! What "genre" would they be classified under, or have they made up their own?

I don't know if I could listen to a full album of tap danced rhythms. Still, I like their originality/inventiveness and the music seems great.

As for a live performance, I could stand them opening for someone else - about a five or six song set would be as much as I could take.

nhe,

They would probably classify themselves as indie-pop or something like that. Gypsy music, basically.

They're beyond opening band status, but they're still playing the small club circuit. 300-400 people a night for about an hour.

It's gimmicky, but it's fun. They write good pop songs.
