Behold, you are beautiful, my love;At about this time of the day, twenty years ago, on a mountainside in New Mexico, I met the love of my life.
behold, you are beautiful;
your eyes are doves.
- Song of Solomon 1:15 (ESV)
When I met her she was laughing.
I will never, ever forget that moment. After almost seventeen years of marriage and four wonderful kids, I love her more now than I ever would have thought possible. I have been blessed so much through this marriage to my best friend.
I love you sweetie. You have captivated my heart, and I fall down that mountain again every time I see you.

Bill,
Come on man. Now I'm dying of curiousity. What's the story? Please tell it! How did you meet? Where you living at the time? Her? Was it a long distance relationship? Where you both hillbillies, living in the mountains of New Mexico? Where you skiing? Hiking? camping? What?
What happened after the initial meeting? Come on man, you can't just open a can of worms like that a little of the way. :)
Congratulations Bill! Well, actually to the both of you! May your relationship continue to grow rich and grow deeper and more profound as you continue to seek God and His glory.
Shrode, Bill can tell the full story ('cause he knows it), but I think they met at Glorieta when Bill was working there and Jill was with a church group there on retreat or something.
I'm pretty sure it was Glorieta, but I may have my who was working/who was visiting thing switched.
Awwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill, you've GOT to tell us the whole story now, man, this sounds gorgeous!!
Also: big respect to the two of you. People like you who make marriage beautiful are an inspiration to us young'uns. Praise God for you, I say.
Congrats Bill and Jill. Everytime I see you guys, your love for each other shows. After 17 years that's a great accomplishment.
By the way Shrode, there are no hillbillies in New Mexico, just OLD hippies!
Jared is close, but not quite.
If I can find time to do it justice, I'll tell the story.
A Belated Happy Anniversary, Bill. What a great first memory to have of your wife! Does she remember it too? (I only ask because I have no memory of the first time my future husband met me. But then maybe he's making it up!)
Congratulations to the both of you. Your post was short but sweet. I'm happy for you both. Me and my fiance are getting married next month, I wish we could have a happy life such as yours. Thanks for your post. Somehow, it lessened my fears of getting through the marriage. Best of luck to you both.

That's awesome, Bill. Beautiful.
And congratulations, you two!
