Book Meme Redux

Reviving a meme borrowed from my cousin a couple months back . . .

1. Grab the closest book.
2. Turn to page 64.
3. Find third complete sentence.
4. Print sentence in comments here or on your own site (a trackback would be nice).

Here's mine, from Christopher Hall's Learning Theology with the Church Fathers:

We perhaps are on the right track here, particularly because if we describe God's nature itself as unbegotten and begotten, we end up with "contradictory essences, which is impossible."

Therapy by Johnathan Kellerman. I just started it the other day and haven't even gotten to page 64. However...

I said, "A wrought-iron fence rail might narrow down the building trades."

(I'm hoping the blockquote tag works. If not, my apologies and feel free to remove it, you who have that power.

Designing Websites For Every Audience by Ilise Benun:

Download speed is important, but since this site is all about product, the company decided to sacrifice those users with dial-up connections (for them it will be slow but worth it) in favor of a higher-quality display

That's an exciting read!

Literary rememe
It is a fun little exercise, offering bloggers the coveted opportunity to wear their literacy on their sleeves. I'll gladly go around once more. The Orient was itself bearer of an ancient and complex polyglossia....

Cos!

Man, another reason to like you - you use NetBeans?! NetBeans goes hard.

Also - Beavis/Jared, he said "module", not "nodule" - but I'm not sure your geek-quotient is high enough to know the diff :-)

Hey--what happened to page 23?

Anyway, I just pass this up. Last time we did this I went around for days checking each book.

"And perhaps nowhere are we more challenged to walk by faith more than in disciplining our children."

It's in the chapter entitled "The Leader's Vision" and it's talking about "Resource-Driven Vision." The point being: (page 64 ~ 5th sentence) Rather than the resources serving the churches, the churches become enslaved to the resources.

20. Fr. Daniel - 06/27/2004 7:02 pm CDT
