- Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest
WORLD Magazine chooses the ESV Study Bible as its Book of the Year.
If I had to name my book of the year, I'd say it's a tie between Christless Christianity by Michael Horton and The Divine Commodity by Skye Jethani.
What's your Book of the Year?

The ESV Study Bible came out last year, so maybe it's like the "2009" Oscars, which honor films from 2008.
It probably took them that long to read all the possible choices. I know I'm just getting to the point of having seen every film from last year I was really interested in. :-)
Duh!
Your Jesus Is Too Safe by that great writer and preacher, nominated for Dad of the Year (only losing to my great Dad)
Yepper it’s Jared
I am a big honking nerd, so I will have to say Planet Narnia by Michael Ward. (I am surprised I can't recall any discussion of it here, what with all you Lewis fanboys in the house.)

Is this for 2009 or 2008? Seems strange that they'd be talking about a Book of the Year in June.
