When was the "now" video part of this done? Because if it was anytime in the last decade, don't those guys seem a little too young still? They'd be in their sixties. And wouldn't the lion have passed away?

Maybe this was filmed in the 70s or something? What's the context!!!

By the looks of their wardrobe, and the poor video quality, I'd say it was all filmed in the 70s.

I saw these guys interviewed on the Today Show last week. They are in their 50-60s now.

They went back to see Christian several times until they lost track of him in about 1974. Every time, he was equally excited to see them and shared his family with them. They said that a friend of theirs, a conservationist in Africa, would keep track of Christian for them until he lost him in 1974.
