Ready to Ride, by Clear, from their self-titled debut project, from ten years ago, and I can't believe it's been that long. They made two CDs (both excellent) and then fell off the map.

Thanks Gretchen,
I know they broke up - I think pressures of the road, etc, were weighing on them. Their decision in their sophomore effort to go to a more acoustic sound might not have been the best one (although I really like Follow the Narrow).
I had been following their blog at the time - they were gearing up to record their third CD, then they announced the end of the band. I know those things happen.
If you still have their CDs, I don't know if you noticed the home movies they put on them - they were great! Really funny - Nate (the acoustic guitarist w the long hair) and the drummer were particularly hilarious.
Good band. From a great label (Ardent) that had a lot of good indie-tinged bands.
From (imo) a better era for Christian music.
Here's the only thing I found in my initial search--it might look familiar.
Thanks AM - heh, that was a series I started and never quite got moving on :-) - I did remember that I had written about them before, just couldn't remember when.
I got a chuckle out of reading the comments thread. Jared and Bird got on there and immediately started talking about Prayer Chain, King's X and Poor Old Lu.
It was like "Oh, look, Bill wrote a post about a band we don't know. Hey Bird, doesn't King's X go hard?"

Wow - never heard of them but really like that video.....she's got an A. Morisette thing going without the 'tude.......want to hear more.......another long forgotten from a few years prior (1989) - anyone have David Mullen's debut CD "Revival"?.......classic
FWIW, if anyone else got this song stuck in their head (thanks much, Bill) and wants to buy the album, go here--we're buying one copy, but SecondSpin has two more in stock as of now.
I should note, SecondSpin is selling it for $1.57 . . .
Their "Follow the Narrow" is excellent as well---it has a hippie-dippy vibe, which suited me well at the time it came out. It's on my iPod now, though, along with "Falling Down."
Now I'm going to research what happened to them.
