We're not a sports blog, so I apologize for flooding this place with sports posts the past few days.
That being said, I had to post this: it's been a long, long ten years, but today my Texans clinched the AFC South and their first ever playoff berth. They did it with a dramatic come from behind victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, capped off with a scoring drive led by our third string rookie quarterback. We were also helped by the Titans losing to the Saints.
It was an ugly win, but we'll take it. Congratulations Texans!!!

nhe,
Last year, or any previous year, Julio would have made that catch. The thing that's different about this year's Texans, and that has everyone buzzing around here, is that now, instead of losing games we're supposed to win (and we've had some gut-wrenching last second losses in the past) we're now winning game we're supposed to lose.
If Matt Ryan doesn't overthrow Julio in the first quarter, if Dunta Robinson doesn't have a penalty before the pick, if Julio hangs on, different story. We probably didn't deserve to win that game, but we will take it ;-)

With all their injuries, they're an awesome story that doesn't much coverage these days on TebowTV, I mean ESPN.
I still think my Falcons would have had you in OT last week though if Julio makes that catch as time ran out!.......ah well......Texans will be my auxiliary team if/when the Falcons are eliminated in the playoffs.
