nhe, yeah, Zoo TV. Not sure which leg though (Zooropa, etc.).
I saw Vertigo with my brother and sister in Houston in Oct. of '05. We were inside the elipse front row 5 feet from Edge. I'll tell you what, it was one of the best experiences of my life. :-)
The funniest was when all the crowd was turned around looking at Bono on the outer edge of the elipse but Bird and I were looking @ Edge. Then Edge winked at Bird and then he turned to me, all giddy, "Edge just winked at me!"
And I replied, all giddy, "I know!"
I didn't know that Edge played keys, too.
Coolness factor enhanced. (if that was even possible)
Saw them on the Elevation tour in May 2001. Outstanding, though the sound was awful in Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY.
Wow, a wink, that's even better than a pat on the butt!......though w/ a wink you can't really exclaim that you'll never wash a body part again.......no one caught that on tape??......I'm surprised the sound was bad at Rupp Arena - it is notoriously bad at Philips Arena in Atlanta, but U2 sounded great there.....I've heard that they go to painstaking effort to make sure the sound is spot on wherever they are.....I'd go with the U2 Vertigo concert that my wife and I attended to be a top 10 life experience also Bird, up there (in terms of performance venues) with the broadway production of Les Mis - nothing has topped Les Mis for me though - that includes Super Bowls and World Series games I've been to.....
Rupp Arena has MANY corners (it is not the typically round arena, more square-ish with many edges). I would guess that's the reason it sounded bad. It was a great experience but I wish we 1.) had better seats and 2.) had better sound.
ty....loved every second of it.....Happy New Year!.......this is from the Zooropa tour?.......saw the Vertigo concert in Atl in Nov '06.....awesome......as advertised
