"Hope is one of the Theological virtues. This means that a continual looking forward to the eternal world is not (as some modern people think) a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things a Christian is meant to do. It does not mean that we are to leave the present world as it is."

- C.S. Lewis
I've Got the Best Friends in the World

The Christmas moot presents have been delivered.

Bird got me Josephus' histories (woohoo!), plus Children of the Promise, to speed me on my Paedobaptistic journey.

Blo got me Mere Humanity, by Donald T. Williams. It is a look at the human condition through the eyes of Chesterton, Lewis and Tolkien. Excellent.

Rod got me Eat This Book, by Eugene Peterson.

I, of course, forgot it was Christmas and got them nothing.

I'll drown my guilt at IHOP (our next stop!).

Merry Christmas Guys!

(I bought myself "Eat This Book" too - I thought it was a recipe book on Amazon. Okay, I'm kidding, I hope it's good.)
