Jericho: The Return

"Jericho" fans: Still watching?

The first ep of the return season was underwhelming, but these last few have been pretty dang cool, I think.
They have quickly and consistently regained the momentum of the end of the first season.

TOTALLY agree. i'm still watching and love the action/adventure/mystery/espionage that is back! first ep was a little bland, but jake green is shaking the dust off and ready rumble.

Actually, last week's is still on the Tivo, but yeah, I agree. This return season is a lot like the first season. A lot of promise, followed by an underwhelming opening that builds into something pretty good. The 'rewrite the constitution conspiracy' angle had brought back the Jericho magic.

To me, that's the appeal of the show - the whole "what if it really happened" angle. How would I survive without gas or electricity? How would society break down? What would those in power do with the situation? The individual stories have been pretty predictable, but these bigger questions leave you thinking "what if ..."

I predict that this week Jake saves the day (at the last minute) and Hawkins plots to take down the government, what do you think? :-D

Other than the dumb-as-a-bag-of-hammers political commentary, the show has been excellent.

I like their middle-of-the-road approach. People don't start lighting torches and going all Lord of The Flies just because the bombs went off. Instead, you tend to see savagery and civility in about equal measure, but people are making a real effort to hold on. They do get a couple of things wrong, from a technical and logistics angle, but the spirit of it feels right.

Remember, the legit government is in Columbus, which he still technically works for. He's just plotting to expose the conspirators :-)

I live in Columbus and I can tell you our government is no more legit than any other. :-D

Still haven't seen last night's as it was delayed until almost 2 AM 'cause there was an election or something.
