- Rick Warren
Man, the acting in the finale is incredible. All of them - particularly the actors playing Sawyer, Ben, Juliet, and Kate (yes, I said Kate) really brought it.
Elizabeth Mitchell absolutely made that last scene work. And Josh Holloway was incredible in his grief.
I also thought the expressions on all of their faces when Jack dropped the nuke down the hole were priceless. Just waiting to die.
Sorry for the multiple Lost posts. But - man! - what a great finale!

Yes. I've always been a bit surprised by the Juliet-hate that a lot of people have.
Then again, Kate's long been on my "could they please kill her off?" list for quite awhile (although lately she's been redeeming herself a bit more) and not everyone feels that way, so I guess to each their own.
I think the Juliet character is awesome, and I hope that she's not really dead. And by that I mean, I hope that the real Juliet survived. I'm not as big a fan of the faux-Locke style Smokie impersonations.
Black and White have been major themes in the show, makes me think they are setting this thing up as a Dualistic worldview, with a hodge podge of philosophies and themes against each other.
Lostpedia has a good Black/White page going through all the symbolism from first season to the most recent episode with Jacob wearing White and Esau wearing Black.
There is the black and white couple, the Adam/Eve skeletons who had black/white rocks on them, the black and white Chess pieces. and on and on....
The Black Smoke Monster first appeared to Locke as White Smoke I think, which makes me think it was Jacob that time?
Yes, the acting was top-notch, the whole show paced beautifully. Tons of touching moments, from Miles and his dad, to the tragic parting of Sawyer and Juliet, where we all burst into tears. (Except my husband.) However, isn't Illana's side-kick (I think his name is Bram) a sub-par perfomer? He manages to over-act every line he's given. It's distracting and reminds me that I'm watching a TV show every time he opens his mouth. And of course, old Mrs. Hawking, who, although interesting looking, isn't a great actress, nor does her younger version even resemble her. She's also quite a bit bigger in stature. I'm surprised they overlooked this. The rest, though are brilliant, especially Ben and Locke.
I think Richard is a pirate.

I agree to all of that. Elizabeth Mitchell has been that good from her first episode, though.
