"The first and most important thing to say about John Dominic Crossan's work is that it is bad history."

Leatherheads

is a steaming pile. (That's a quote from my friend John, but the other six of us who saw it last night agreed completely.)

Stay far far away. This movie reeks.

Thank You and Oo-Rah.

I read the review of it and was absolutely appalled.

That is UNBELIEVEBLY Disappointing.

I'll probably watch it anyway. I don't listen well. Case in point, despite repeated warnings from Bill over the years, we saw "50 first dates". Ugh.

It's hard to ignore a George Clooney and -Jim from the office -comedy. I mean come on. Can it really be that bad? :)

Heh, yeah, that movie stunk on ice.

I saw Baby Mama and it was pretty funny. Yeah - it's somewhat formulaic, but I loves me some Fey and Poehler.

Yes, it can. I didn't think so either, despite bad reviews and tepid box office. I like both guys (and Renee Zellweger). Plus Clooney directed it, and I think he's a gifted director.

But, man, it stunk.

Our story is this:
It was 9:15 after Bible study last night, so 7 of us went to catch a flick, planning to see the Tina Fey movie "Baby Mama."
One guy was already saying "I'm not seeing anything called Baby Mama," and as we got there 9:35, with Baby Mama starting at 10:20 and Leatherheads at 9:40 and one girl needing to finish a paper due today, we bit the bullet and just went to see Leatherheads thinking, "Hey, it's George Clooney and Jim!"

20 minutes in we really wished we were laughing at "Baby Mama." :-)

GAH. I can't stand people who won't see a movie based on something like its name.

If you don't want to see it because of its rating, reviews or friends' comments - fine. But my guess is he didn't even know what the movie was about. Double Gah.
