"Membership in the family of God is neither inconsequential or something to be casually ignored. The church is God's agenda for the world. Jesus said, "I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it." The church is indestructable and will exist for eternity. It will outlive this universe, and so will your role in it."

Bummer.

It's been a surprising playoffs in many ways. Colts knocked out early. Titans out early. Arizona (at the present moment) clobbering Carolina on the Panther's home field . . .

Of course the Texans didn't even sniff the playoffs.

Jared, at least your season lasted a week longer than mine - I'm a Falcon fan.

Sorry, man. I would have liked to see the Titans make some noise.

Now I'm rooting for the Cardinals.

I'm for the Cardinals too. They really impressed me last week and then blew me away yesterday in their win over the Panthers. Lots of heart.

The reason the Cardinals beat us (Falcons) is that they had our snap-count (big reason). Ultimately, I blame our coaches for that - where was the half-time adjustment?

There were also 2 or 3 missed off-sides calls in our game, much like the "No delay of game" call in the Titans game - some woeful officiating in the Playoffs so far.

NHE,

I'm confused. Aren't you a Barry Bonds/San Fran fanboy? Now Atlanta with football? Did you relocate a lot and pick teams up along the way?

I'm actually honored that you remember Bird - I grew up in the SF Bay Area - moved to Ohio when I was 16, then moved to Atlanta after college - been in Atlanta most of 24 years......I never bonded with an NFL team as a kid, so I've adopted the Falcons with my son..........but the Giants are my true "first love" - my first MLB game was at Candlestick (Juan Marichal pitched, Mays played CF, McCovey at 1B - Bobby Bonds in RF)- that's my team - I won't ever be able to abandon them.

NHE, good deal. I'm fortunate to have grown up in Houston, so all of my loyalties lie with one city.

:-)
