Awe-some.
You should put this chart on an email and email it to everyone you know! :-)
Or at least those who send you forwards all the time.
Seriously though, I think the older generations do more of this than the younger.
Just a theory. But people under 40 don't forward me stuff. Ever.
Shrode, yep.
I think it's just the cyber version of newspaper clipping. Who does that? Moms and grandmothers or aunts. They clip out newspaper articles or things that they think you will want to read (or *need* to read). It reminds them of you or whatever.
Forwarding things is like that, only easier, which makes the clippers much more prolific. ;-)
note to self.......no more funny emails to Jared - I actually just forwarded you one, but it bounced back because Yahoo pulled up the old Element email address and I didn't check it. Whew!
I have certain friends that I'll forward certain things to - but (without exception) they're all people who would tell (and have told me) if it is lame.
So I think there is a caveat to this - keep your list small and only include people who will blast you to your face if you send something lame.
My biggest pet peeve - the "Christian" (in name only) political stuff that is forwarded to me.....I fall all over myself trying to get to the delete button.
I've found older retired men to be the worst offenders. They will sit for hours every day and read and send forwarded emails. It's unbelievable.

I love it!
I'd e-mail this link to my mother, but then she'd probably forward it to all of her friends ... and not get the irony.
