"Membership in the family of God is neither inconsequential or something to be casually ignored. The church is God's agenda for the world. Jesus said, "I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it." The church is indestructable and will exist for eternity. It will outlive this universe, and so will your role in it."

From U2 by U2:

EDGE: It was a great thing to spend time reading the scriptures and find out about this whole system of belief, Christianity, what it really means. We later found out that the Rasta movement had a similar fascination with scripture, and they would sit around smoking weed and discussing Bible references in sessions they called 'reasoning'. We did the same really, but without the weed.

Yeah, I thought it was an awesome quote too. I got the huge coffee table U2 by U2 for my birthday a couple of years ago. Since it's never convenient to read a coffee table book, I only read about 25 percent of it, but I did look at all the photos. So for Christmas last week I got the soft cover U2 by U2 from my uncle. I was happy because it's small and easy to read. I've been reading it ever since.

I predict Bird will write a post about U2.

You're in the wrong thread, my brutha'. You should have posted that in the predictions thread. ;-)

But since we're now using this forum for predictions:

I predict that Bill will predict that Al Gore will ascend to the presidency and hold a co-presidency with Barak Obama for the next 100 years.

I predict that the next brou-ha-ha in evangelicalism will be someone trying to add U2 by U2 to the canon.
