"And do you now begin to see why Christianity has always said that the devil is a fallen angel? That is not a mere story for the children. It is a real recognition of the fact that evil is a parasite, not an original thing. The powers which enable evil to carry on are powers given it by goodness."

Don't feel like you have to answer all of these. Just give your prediction and comments if you want.

1) I pick the Patriots to win but...

2) I will be rooting for the underdog Giants. I love a good underdog story.

3) I think that if the Patriots lose their season will be a disappointment.

4) From home. I hope to be able to have a family Super Bowl party. I'm going to try and get the kids excited. We (meaning I) have been sick though so we will see.

5) I like TP so I probably will watch

6) I am a football fan so I will watch the whole thing.

7) Definitly the game.

8) Probably Tom Brady...hopefully Eli Manning

Here is one thing that will be fun to look for.
My son says that every time the away team calls tails they win the toss (admittidly this happens in one of his video games, but hey). I read that in the past 11 Super Bowls the team that won the toss lost the game 9 times. The Giants will be calling the toss. I say they should pick heads.

1) Patriots

2) Patriots. This is a historic season, and that story is more compelling to me than the Giants underdog status. Plus, I think Eli Manning is a whiny-butt.

3) It will very much be a disappointment.

4) We were having an Element Super Bowl party at our usual service location but the powers that be are scared of NFL crackdown (the venue and the TV screens exceed the allowable sizes), so now we're moving to the home of a couple in the group. So I'll be watching it with the Element peeps there.

5) Sure. Well, probably half-watch and half-chat with friends.

6) Pretty good.

7) The game. Plus, the commercials haven't been as good in the last few years as they used to be.

8) Tom Brady will. He works there in the off season anyways. He's cutting edge animatronics.

Go Giants! Kevin Boss played football at my school back in the day, which automatically makes the Giants the bomb-diggity-yo. Plus, I always root for the underdog and I don't like the Patriots. Even though they are a well-oiled football machine.

Let's get ready to rumble.
I will admit that when the players just came onto the field I got a little "goose bumpy" for the Patriots. They are good.

The Giants won the toss!!
It was tails just like Aaron predicted.

Man, they are going to lose for sure now.

6. Ellen - 02/03/2008 7:39 pm CST

Wait...the Giants are the red guys...right?

;-)

7. Mark - 02/03/2008 9:10 pm CST

Wow, what a great game.

Congrats to the Giants.

8. Ellen - 02/03/2008 9:28 pm CST

yes...I watched the whole thing... ;-)

9. Bill - 02/03/2008 10:13 pm CST

Amazing game, and the better team won.

10. Jared - 02/03/2008 10:16 pm CST

Well, sure. The team that wins is the better team. That day.

Kind of underwhelming given the season the Pats had. Like watching an awesome TV show that has a lame series finale.

11. Bill - 02/03/2008 10:25 pm CST

I thought it was a great game - so exciting!

I was kind of hoping to see history made as well. But I have to hand it to the Giants - they played great.

12. Mark - 02/03/2008 10:47 pm CST

I didn't think it was underwhelming at all.
I'm with Bill this was a great game.

Eli turning a sack into a completed pass to keep the last drive alive. Awesome.

Mwuhaahaaahaaahaa!! Haaaahaaaa! LOL ROTFLMAO! I love it. I can't stand Belichick; his attitude or any of it. Party boy Brady turned into a Belichick-like figure after 2:00 on the clock; clearly taking things out on his equally irritable team members (anyone catch all the terse looks on the Pats sidelines after the 2:00 warning? Sheesh).

14. Bill - 02/04/2008 6:49 am CST

I was surprised - Brady seemed to have a lot of trouble hitting the open receiver, especially on the long throws. And he - to me at least - looked worried most of the game. It was a very unBrady-like performance.

I think getting smashed at the end of every play by the NYG defensive linemen had a lot to do with that.

Anyone notice that the Super Bowl widget turned into a Pro Bowl widget? Can anyone think of a more useless game than the Pro Bowl?
