Do you have something good going on in your life? Something you're excited about? Something you're looking forward to? Something good happening in you?
I'm in one of those ". . . whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" moods.
So tell me something good (in the comments thread). Thanks!

That's awesome Rong!
We also are celebrating the graduation of our first-born, in just a few days! Very excited for him and for his future.
Life in Christ is good - definitely.
Going on a MANventure this weekend in East Tennessee with a group of men from our church. We're devoting this time to having a little fun (whitewater rafting) but, most importantly, striving to become the men God has called us to be (don't worry, it's not gonna be all WaH or anything). I'm so excited, I'm already packed.
I am a missionary associate in El Salvador and I work with a children's ministry called Castillo Del Rey. I am very excited about World Warrior's. World Warrior's is a group of students, from the US, that are coming to El Salvador on June 9 and I will be working as a leader on this team. We will be working in El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama all within 6 weeks. We will be doing street ministry, children's ministry, helping out and doing whatever we can to minister and share the gospel with the people of Central America.
I am 30 weeks along in my pregnancy. I only have 7 weeks left to go for son #5! His name will be Zachariah -- we were going to use Aiden as the middle name but then Blest told me that meant "fiery" so we are re-thinking that one. ;O)
I'm getting married! My boyfriend (now fiance) proposed eleven days ago, and now we're counting down to an August 9th wedding!
Daniel and I are enduring a long-distance engagement, however, so during the moments I feel weak, overwhelmed, and stressed, God provides constant reminders that He's still on his throne, and nothing is outside his control! Through this, I'm rediscovering the power of Scripture in my life. Keeping it close at hand and on my mind calms me more than a soaking bath AND hot tea combined! :) As I mark off the days, prayer has also become a constant occupation of mine. I pray for Daniel, I pray for myself, and I also pray for our future together--that we might seek (above all else) to glorify God with our marriage (and our lives).
So that's what's going on in my world!
a soaking bath AND hot tea combined - I love that, and I think I need that reminder. Thank you. These praises, these benedictions are great. For my small part, I have a much faster blog. Hurrah! This will be a good week for that and many other reasons. Thanks, Bill (for the faster blog part).
All - thanks for commenting!
Paige - congratulations! Love the pics at your site. My wife and I had a long-distance engagement too. We've been married 20 years this june :-)
Raindream - anytime :-)
Earthly-My wife and I celebrated ten years of marriage last week and are leaving thursday for a three day vacation. Can't wait!
Spiritually-God has allowed my family to be part of a church planting team, something I have always been passionate about. We will be moving to Noblesville, Indiana next month and I couldn't be more humbled...and excited. If you want, you can follow some of the prgress and learn the backstory at www.wakebeforedawn.com
My business is doing well.
We love our church and the people that make it what it is.
Our 1st grader tested at the 8th grade reading level for the state.
My wife and I have been married twelve years this month.
God blessed us with a beautiful property.
I just got exempt from taking a final because the prof said he didn't expect anything to change...and he had already made a photocopy of my first exam for the class to read if they "wanted to read a perfect exam". -that's never happened to me before.
I watched a baby be born on Friday. -never done that before either. It was amazing. At the lady's home with two midwives. No pain-killer. Completely natural. and she made it look so easy.
and lots more stuff...I'm just excited about life right now!
I'm in my sixth decade and I'm blessed to be ministering to others. It gives me joy! AND it humbles me!!!
The kids and I are going to Disney World and we are watching a Space Shuttle Launch! Now I need to run so that we are ready to go Thursday.
Camper. We bought a used camper last fall and took our first trip a week and a half ago. First big trip comes in another week.
I've bee doing fun guy work getting it ready. you know, changing tires, rebuilding the brakes and buying bike racks. Just the thought of the equipment and driving with a trailer loaded with gear is exciting to me. Yeah, I'm a car geek.
I'm also going to Long Beach CA this Sunday for a work conference where I'm giving a presentation. I get to be considered an expert, which is kinda nice. I have this secret fear that it's going to fall flat and I'll look like a dope. But, hey, I still get a trip to CA. :D
God's been getting me to cultivate silence more, and it's been lovely. Getting me to come out of my shell.
Had coffee with a girl from church yesterday and we are now plotting a women's retreat--we go to a tiny church, but a lot of times it feels like no one knows each other very well, so we're going to try to pack all the church's women (and maybe their daughters, I don't know) into one space for a weekend, which I think would be hilarious.
Earthly - my son is graduating high school and is going into the Air Force in July for a 6 year commitment. He's been actively talking to our associate pastor who is a retired Army chaplain about his options for attending college while in the service and attending the seminary after his 6 years is up. I know all of this can change, but I'm very proud of the direction that he's currently moving in.
Spiritually - I've been involved in an accountability group (for the first time) for a little over a year now and it's one of the best things that I've ever done. In our studies we are all growing by leaps and bounds. Not to some lofty angelic height, instead like Paul we are each learning just how lowly we are. And in that humbled state we rejoice mightily in our Redeemer.
Life in Christ is Good my friend. Thanks for asking. :-)
