If you're like me, you've been missing our friend Blo who is, reportedly, a real person and not just a mythological man-beast.
You've been wondering, hoping, and waiting for his return to Thinklingdom.
I think I found out where he's been these past few weeks. I was researching the Olympic standings/results and discovered, to my great joy, that our Blo has done good. He is indeed in Athens, where he just won the Gold in the women's gymnastics all-around championship!
Yay Blo!!!

Hmmm. You aren't the first one to have that problem. Garn.
The basic answer: Gatorade is the skin of the day, and skin of the day is the default if you haven't picked a skin. If you've picked a skin (cigarband in your case) it's stored in a cookie. Sometimes the cookie gets missed - I'm not sure why and need to do some research into that. So when the system can't find the cookie (for whatever reason) it defaults to sotd, which today is gatorade.
Do me a fav - let me know if this persists for you, or if it was a one time thing.
Maybe when Blo gets back from Athens (assuming he's not just a figment of our collective whimseys) he can help me debug this :-)

Another thing it just did. I clicked on a permalink from the commentary page, and the new page loaded in the Gatorade skin. It also stayed Gate when I refreshed to the main page, but I just selected Cigar again.
Funny thing:
Macy walked up as the main page was refreshing, saw your clumsy photoshop of the Blolympian, and said, "What is that, Daddy?"
I didn't know whether to say it was Blo (and thereby show her my friend as a leotarded chick) or a girl (and thereby confuse her about the decidedly masculine face). So I just said, "That's a gymnast."
