Hello Lord, it's me your child
I have a few things on my mind
Right now I'm faced with big decisions
And I'm wondering if you have a minute, cuz
Right now I don't hear so well
And I was wondering if you could speak up
I know that you tore the veil
So I could sit with you in person
And hear what you're saying but
Right now, I just can't hear you.
I don't doubt your sovereignty
I doubt my own ability to
Hear what you're saying
And to do the right thing
And I desperately want to do the right thing
But right now I don't hear so well
And I was wondering if you could speak up
I know that you tore the veil
So I could sit with you in person
And hear what you're saying but
Right now, I just can't hear you.
And somewhere in the back of my mind
I think you are telling me to wait
And though patience has never been mine
Lord, I will wait to hear from you
Oh Lord, I'm waiting on you
Right now I don't hear so well
And I was wondering if you could speak up
I know that you tore the veil
So I could sit with you in person
And hear what you're saying but
Right now, I think you're whispering

Wow. I just spoke on this subject last night. Finding God's will for your life. What does it mean when you're begging Him for an answer and you hear silence.
This is such a heavy, pressing thing for people in the Church.
I'm not sure it should be.
Oh, and I meant to say also, that I am and ahve been praying for you and your family, Kenny.
You guys are on my mind frequently. I hope for justice and deliverance for you.
I love Sara Groves! She has a way of singing what’s in our hearts. I’ve heard her sing twice in concert.
It’s amazing how God speaks to us. I was listening to a Sara Groves CD right before a friend and her daughter’s funeral trying to reason why they died so suddenly when the song Going Home came on. I really heard it for the first time that morning.
Man Kenny,
Know that you're not alone - though we can't be with you physically, your Thinklings brothers are with you in prayer.
Hang in there, my friend.
Kenny, I don't know you, other than you are one of the Thinklings, nor do I know what you may be experienceing at this time, but I want to say that God loves you and I am praying for you.
Blessings.
Sara Groves is a poet - I love her songs. Kenny, I'm praying for you, too.

I guess Sara Groves is my favorite Christian artist. Every time I listen to her music I find something new to ponder. She Is just very talented.
Count me as a Sara Groves fan. She Rocks! OK, not literally, but she is really, really good.
And Kenny, I read this post this morning right after reading Psalms 88 and 89. Whoa. I don't believe in coincidences. Amazing. The Lord seemed to be speaking to me...about him "not speaking".
God's cool.
I needed this today too, Kenny. thanks.
Our situations continue to be parallel. you should call me sometime. (Of course, then we'll just talk each other into starting a business together or something. :)
Yeah, this is my now, too; the only thing I'm hearing is that I'm unequivocally not allowed to let go. I'll be praying for you. (And at least, as per Ben Franklin, hanging together beats hanging separately.)
Oh, and put me down as another Sara Groves fan.

Wow. That really speaks to me where I'm at right now. "God, help me to hear you!" I cry. But His is the still, small voice, and I must learn to live a more quiet, Christ-centered thought-life, taking all thoughts captive. And I need the Spirit's help to do it...one step at a time.
