Our Walk To The Dairy

There's a dairy in our neighborhood, about two miles from our house. Tonight Nathan and I took a stroll to the dairy. Here are a few photos from our trek.

Here's a final shot of Nathan with all the dairy cows in the background:

And here's a bonus shot that Brandi took of me leading the chickens to their tractor (cage) for the night:

Coolio.
That last pic of Nate Dog is better than the last you posted!
And the chickens just roam the land? You're not worried the neighborhood cats won't try to eat them?

They free range a lot, but not all the time. They're really too big right now to be eaten by cats. Our main concern is night predators and that's why we lock them up each night.

How do you get them to follow you?

They know that I have their feed in that red cup. Just about any animal can be trained to follow food. :-)

Very cool. Love the picture of the chickens following you. Too funny.

Do you think the Dairy would let you post pictures of it? I'd be interested in seeing it.

Dani,

I'm sure they'd be fine with it. It's actually not illegal to stand on a public street and takes photos of anything. I'll try and snap some photos of the dairy whenever we walk by there again.
